Operated by Factal LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. This website accepts inquiries, not payments. The software remains in beta; its release license and any signed service agreement govern product access.
Factal LLC is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Product data depends on whether you use a local Solo library or an explicitly configured shared deployment.
Information and purposes
Forms collect your name, email, optional organization, topic, message, language, timestamp and inquiry reference. We use these details to respond, assess beta requests, provide support and handle privacy or legal questions. The website accepts no case-document uploads or payments.
Providers and access
The website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare hosting/database services. Authorized operators can review inquiries in a protected inbox. When enabled, Resend sends inquiry notifications and Google Workspace handles business correspondence. These providers may process information to deliver and protect their services. We do not promise a particular data-residency region.
Retention
Website inquiries and related correspondence are normally retained for up to 12 months. Information needed for an ongoing matter, contractual duties or legal obligations may be retained longer and reviewed separately. Database and mailbox copies are covered by our deletion procedure; provider backups and security logs follow provider retention schedules.
Cookies and tracking
We add no advertising trackers or third-party website analytics, and do not sell inquiry information or use it for targeted advertising. Language is carried in the URL. Hosting providers may use technical logs or essential cookies for delivery, security and authenticated owner access. Email open and click tracking is disabled for form notifications.
Local and shared product data
In local mode, exhibit contents, indexing and OCR stay on your computer; SwiftCite does not upload those contents. Microsoft Office.js may contact Microsoft during startup. Explicit shared mode processes selected exhibits and metadata through the configured SwiftCite service and Microsoft 365. Hosting, subprocessors and processing agreements for that deployment must be agreed before activation.
Privacy requests and updates
Email contact@swiftcite.io or select Privacy or legal request on the contact form to request access, correction, deletion or other rights available under applicable law, or to ask about a decision. We may verify identity proportionately. We process requests and service inquiries to respond to you and operate the business; jurisdiction-specific bases and transfer arrangements depend on the applicable service. Material changes are dated here.
